Motivating People Without Authority
Inspiring Commitment When You Cannot Command It
£200.00£160.00
In modern workplaces, success often depends on getting things done through people you do not directly manage. This one-day course helps participants motivate and influence others without relying on formal authority. It is ideal for project leads, specialists, coordinators, team members and managers working across departments or matrix structures. Participants will explore what genuinely motivates people, including purpose, recognition, autonomy, belonging, progress and personal value.
The course focuses on practical ways to build credibility, create trust, communicate shared benefits and encourage commitment. Learners will examine how to gain cooperation from busy colleagues, handle resistance, sustain engagement and influence stakeholders respectfully. Through practical exercises and real workplace examples, participants will develop a personal approach to motivating others through clarity, relationship-building and meaningful influence.
By the end of the course, they will be better equipped to inspire action, strengthen collaboration and achieve results even when they cannot simply instruct others.
