Handling Conflict Professionally

Resolving Tension Without Damaging Relationships

£200.00£160.00

Conflict is a normal part of working life, but when it is ignored or handled poorly, it can damage relationships, morale and performance. This one-day course helps managers approach workplace conflict with confidence, professionalism and calm judgement. Participants will explore the common causes of conflict, including misunderstandings, competing priorities, personality differences, unclear expectations and perceived unfairness. They will reflect on their own conflict style and learn how different responses can either escalate or reduce tension.

The course provides practical tools for de-escalating difficult situations, listening objectively, asking constructive questions and helping people move from blame to resolution. Through realistic scenarios and guided practice, learners will develop the skills to address conflict early and fairly.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to manage disagreements more effectively, protect working relationships and create practical outcomes that support team performance, respect and accountability.
