Technical ability may help people become managers, but emotional intelligence helps them become leaders others trust and respect. This one-day course explores how self-awareness, self-control, empathy and social awareness influence leadership effectiveness. Participants will examine how emotions shape communication, behaviour, judgement, relationships and team climate.

The course helps leaders recognise their own triggers, understand how they respond under pressure and identify the impact they have on others. Learners will also explore how empathy, active listening and emotional awareness can improve trust, collaboration and engagement. Through practical exercises, reflection and workplace scenarios, participants will develop techniques for staying calm, responding thoughtfully and leading with greater emotional balance.

The course is ideal for leaders who want to strengthen their interpersonal impact and lead with maturity, confidence and authenticity. By the end of the day, participants will have practical tools to lead themselves and others more effectively.
