Trust is the foundation of effective management. Without it, teams become guarded, communication weakens and performance suffers. This one-day course helps managers understand how trust is created, maintained and sometimes unintentionally damaged. Participants will explore the behaviours that make managers credible, reliable and approachable, including consistency, honesty, fairness, confidentiality, competence and follow-through.
The course examines how trust affects motivation, engagement, accountability and team culture. Through practical exercises and real workplace scenarios, learners will reflect on their own management style and identify ways to strengthen trust with individuals and groups. They will also explore how to handle broken commitments, difficult messages and moments where trust has been weakened.
By the end of the course, participants will understand that trust is not built through words alone, but through repeated actions. They will leave with practical strategies to become managers people respect, believe in and choose to follow.
